Sugar Creek started it all in 1968 with custom homes around golf fairways. First Colony followed in 1977 and filled in through the 1990s. New Territory and Greatwood added thousands of 1990s homes, and both joined the city in 2017. These sections now sit deep in their remodel years.
The newer side of town has lighter needs. Telfair opened in 2006 on former state land. Imperial fills the old refinery grounds near the brick char house, where sugar was refined until 2003. Owners in those sections tend to want one room fixed, not a full gut.
Kitchens from the 1980s were built small and closed off. We remove the wall, rework the plumbing and wiring behind it, and finish with new cabinets, counters, lighting, and floors. Primary baths get the same treatment. Garden tubs come out, and walk-in showers with real storage go in.
Homes built here between 1978 and 1995 may hold polybutylene supply lines. Those gray lines can fail without warning, so we swap them for PEX in a whole-house repipe. We also replace aging electrical panels and tired water heaters. Where lots and deed rules allow, we build home additions and garage apartments.
