North Pasadena grew first. Streets near Vince Bayou and the Highway 225 plants filled in through the 1940s and 1950s. Red Bluff Terrace dates to 1951, and Fairmont Park got its start in the early 1950s. Deepwater on the east side is older still and joined the city decades ago.
The south side is newer. Growth moved down Spencer Highway and then out along Fairmont Parkway toward Beltway 8. Baywood Oaks West and Fairmont Estates have many homes built after 2000. Armand Bayou and its nature preserve sit on this end of town, off Bay Area Boulevard.
Many Pasadena houses from the 1950s and 1960s still run on their first pipes. Galvanized supply lines rust from the inside, so pressure falls and water can turn brown. Cast iron drains from the same era crack and clog. We fix both with whole house PEX repipes and new sewer lines.
